lados:

SLEEVES
Using COTTON 100% cast on 50 sts and work
in Eyelet St except for the st at
each end of the row which is worked in Stockinette
St.
When sleeve measures 1 1/8” (3 cm), increase
at each edge:
–a) 1 st 4 times on every 8th row = 58 sts.
–b) 1 st 5 times on every 6th row = 60 sts.
–c) 1 st 6 times on every 4th & 6th row alternately
= 62 sts.
–d) 1 st 7 times on every 4th row = 64 sts.
Armholes: When sleeve measures 6 1/4” (16 cm),
bind/cast off at each edge at beg of every row:
2 sts 2 times, 1 st –a) 10 –b) 11 –c) 12 –d) 13 times,
2 sts 5 times and the rem 10 sts.
Make another sleeve the same.

Armholes: When body measures 15 3/4” (40 cm),
on the next right side row, work 32 sts Eyelet St,
and 33 sts Stockinette St. TURN WORK leaving
the remaining sts on a stitch holder and at the
beg of every wrong side row bind/cast off: 2 sts
2 times and 1 st 1 time = 28 sts in Stockinette St
and 32 sts in Eyelet St.
Cont working the sts accordingly and at the end
of each right side row increase 1 st 1 time and
2 sts 2 times.
On the next right side row work 32 sts Eyelet
St, 33 sts Stockinette St and then bind/cast off
–a) 19 –b) 21 –c) 23 –d) 25 of the sts left on hold
finishing the row with the 65 sts at the right side
edge left on hold.
Continue binding/casting off on the right side
of work at beg of every row: 2 sts 2 times, 1 st
1 time = –a) –b) –c) –d) 31 sts in Stockinette St
and 16 sts in Eyelet St.
Cont working the sts accordingly and at the end
of every wrong side row increase 1 st 1 time,
2 sts 2 times and –a) 19 –b) 21 –c) 23 –d) 25 sts
1 time, then cont working all sts including those
left on hold.
When body measures.–a) 24” (61 cm) –b) 24 3/4”
(63 cm) –c) 25 5/8” (65 cm) –d) 27 1/8” (69 cm),
after working a right side row, leave all sts on a
stitch holder (centreback).
Work the other half in the same way but reverse
the shaping and leave the stitches on hold after
a wrong side row.
Join the two pieces tog by sewing stitch for
stitch using the grafting method (see Basic
instructions).
