REQUISITOS PARA LA INSCRIPCIÓN DE UN NACIMIENTO EN EL
REGISTRO CIVIL CONSULAR
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE REGISTRATION OF A BIRTH IN THE
CONSULAR SPANISH CIVIL REGISTER
Esta hoja informativa hace referencia a los requisitos y procedimiento a seguir para la inscripción
en el Registro Civil Consular del nacimiento de un ciudadano español acaecido en Pakistán, por
certificación del asiento extendido en el correspondiente Registro Pakistaní.
Documentos Requeridos // Required Documents:
1. Hoja de declaración de datos debidamente cumplimentada (en mayúsculas) y
firmada por el declarante. El declarante debe identificarse, incorporando al
expediente copia del documento usado a tal efecto. // Hoja de declaración
de datos duly completed (capital letters) and signed by the declarant.
The declarant must identify him self, attaching a copy of his identity documents to the file.
2. Fotocopia del pasaporte del/de la padre/madre español/a. // Photocopy of
the passport of the Spanish parent
3. Fotocopia del D.N.I. del/de la padre/madre español/a. // Photocopy of the
Identity Card of the Spanish parent
4. Certificado literal de nacimiento del Registro Civil correspondiente del
progenitor español, con fecha de expedición no superior a un año. Puede solicitarse a través de la web del Ministerio de Justicia. // Birth Certificate from
Spanish Registro Civil of the corresponding Spanish parent, given within the last year. You can apply through Ministerio de Justicia web site.
5. Fotocopia del pasaporte y/o tarjeta de identidad del progenitor extranjero. //
Photocopy of the passport and Identity card for the foreigner (Pakistani)
parent.
6. Certificado de nacimiento del progenitor extranjero en original y su traducción
en inglés legalizado por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Pakistán. //
Birth Certificate of the Pakistani parent, original and translation to
English, attested by the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
7. Certificado de nacimiento del/de la hijo/a en original y su traducción en inglés
legalizado por el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Pakistán. // Birth
Certificate of the Child to be registered, original and translation to
English, attested by the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
8. Fotocopia del Libro de familia o certificado de matrimonio de los padres en
original y su traducción en inglés legalizado por el Ministerio de Asuntos
Exteriores de Pakistán. // Photocopy of the Family book or Marriage
Certificate of the parents, original and translation to English, attested by
the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

9. Para proceder a la verificación de los documentos públicos locales, el
solicitante tiene la opción de abonar unas tasas de verificación de 17.000
Rupias // To proceed for the verification of the local public documents,
the applicant has the option to pay an amount of Rs.17,000 for
verification fees.
10. Dos juegos de fotocopias de toda la documentación presentada. // Two sets
of photocopies of all above detailed documentation.
PRESENTACIÓN DE LA SOLICITUD:
- Si al menos uno de los progenitores fuese español en el momento del nacimiento
del menor, la documentación deberá ser presentada por uno de ellos. En este caso
no será necesaria la comparecencia del menor.
- Si el progenitor que transmite la nacionalidad española hubiese adquirido la
nacionalidad después del nacimiento del menor, la solicitud puede ser presentada
por uno sólo de los padres, pero con anterioridad a su inscripción se citará
necesariamente a ambos progenitores para su comparecencia en el Consulado. En
este caso será necesaria la comparecencia del menor si tiene más de 14 años.
- Una vez tenga preparada la documentación requerida, contacte con las oficinas de
TCSVisatronix en Islamabad o en Karachi para su presentación. Le será entregado
un resguardo de su solicitud donde constará un identificador (“Airway Bill”) con el
que podrá consultar el estado de tramitación de su expediente en la página web
http://x90.es/estado. La tramitación de este tipo de expedientes puede prolongarse
durante más de un año.
SUBMISSION:
- If at least one of the parents was Spanish at the time of the child’s birth,
documents are to be submitted by at least one of the parents. In that case the
minor’s appearance is not required.
- If the parent who confers Spanish nationality to the child had acquired
Spanish nationality after the child’s birth, documents can be submitted by
either one or both the parents, but prior to the registration of the child both
parents will be contacted by the Embassy so that they, together, will appear at
the Embassy. In that case, also the appearance of the minor over 14 years old
will be required.
- As soon as you have all the documents ready for submission, please contact
TCS-Visatronix office at Islamabad or at Karachi for submission of the case.
On submission you will get a Receipt with an Airway Bill number on it. You can
use that Airway Bill number to update the status of your application on the web
site http://x90.es/status. The processing period can take more than one year.
