to the Transportation Center for the DowneyLINK.
Downey Depot Transportation Center is
constructed on the original Train Depot location
that was established by the Southern Pacific
Railroad to bring passengers and goods to a
young community. Today Downey has matured
into a quality, full-service city.

Downey Depot Transportation Center, which is
located at 8150 Nance Street, one block south of
Firestone Blvd. and Downey Ave. DowneyLINK
puts the entire City within your reach. Whether
traveling to work or school, the Civic Center, your
favorite store, or recreation stop, DowneyLINK
will take you where you want to go.

Depot Transportation Center are the first times
listed on the left. Arrival times at the Downey
Depot Transportation Center are on the right side
of the schedule.
The 佥 on the map indicate the bus stops along
each route. Further, the point of the 佥 tells you
which side of the street the bus will stop. The 佥
represent “Time Check Points”— the approximate
times each bus reaches that stop. To determine
what time to be at your stop, if a time is not listed
as a “Time Check Point,” look at the time checkpoint before your stop and use that as the time for
your stop. Please note these times are not exact
due to changing traffic conditions throughout the
day so plan accordingly.

HORARIOS DE LOS AUTOBUSES DE DOWNEYLINK
Este mapa es un resumen de las cuatro rutas que
circulan el sistema de transportacion publica de
DowneyLINK. Cada ruta esta diseñada para tomar
approximadamente 45 minutos para completar.
Cada ruta corre aproximadamente 14 viajes por
dia. Todas las rutas corren por los limites de la
Cuidad de Downey.
El horario se lee de izquierda a derecha. La hora
de salida para cada ruta en la terminal del centro
de transportacion es el primer horario que
aparece al lado izquierdo. El horario de la llegada
a la terminal aparece al lado derecho.

para cada ruta. Ademas, el punto del 佥 indica de

Cambiarse de autobuses es muy facil porque las
rutas estan programadas para salir de la terminal
(localizada en 8150 Nance Street) a la misma
hora. Si usted tiene que hacer una coneccion con
otro autobus de DowneyLINK, preguntele al chofer
por un “transfer” para abordar. El “transfer” es
gratis y se vence el mismo dia.

DOWNEYLINK?
Los autobuses corren de Lunes a Viernes de las
6:30am a las 6:30pm. Servicio para los Sabados
se ofrece durantes los dias festivos empezando el
primer Sabado despues Del Dia de Gracias hasta
el Domingo antes de Navidad. Este servicio especial corre de las 8:30am hasta las 6:30pm y corre
las rutas regulares.

D OW N E Y L I N K O P E R AT E ?
DowneyLINK operates Monday through
Friday from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Saturday
service is offered during the holidays beginning the first Saturday after Thanksgiving
until the Saturday before Christmas.
This special service operates from 8:30am
to 6:30pm and runs the regular routes.
HOSPITAL

ON DOWNEYLINK?
Transferring to another DowneyLINK route is
easy because routes are scheduled to depart
the Downey Depot Transportation Center (located at 8150 Nance Street) at the same time. So
if you need to make a connection to another
DowneyLINK bus to reach your destination, just
ask the driver for a transfer ticket when you
board. One (1) transfer is free with paid admission. The transfer must be given to another
DowneyLINK driver within the same day.

30-USE BUS TICKETS
Riders may purchase a 30-use bus ticket
book available for $15 per ticket book and are
non-refundable, non-replaceable, non-transferable. Lost, stolen or damaged tickets will
not be replaced. The tickets will allow riders
to use tickets in lieu of cash fare and deposited in the fare box. For your convenience, 30use bus ticket books are available for purchase Monday through Friday. Cash or check
only, payable to: City of Downey at Downey
City Hall Community Services, 2nd Floor,
11111 Brookshire Ave., from 7:30am to
5:00pm or at the Transit Depot, 8150 Nance
Street, from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
TRIPPER SERVICE
Tripper Service is additional busses added to
route to accomodate a high ridership at certain
times of day. Tripper Service is added to the
Southwest Route on the times of day listed below.
DOWNEY DEPOT
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
TO RIDE DOWNEYLINK?
50 cents a trip for all ages. Children 5 years and
younger (when accompanied by an adult) will be
permitted to ride free—maximum of two children
per adult ride free. DowneyLINK drivers cannot
make change; therefore, have the correct fare
ready before you board the bus.
