Operation
The glass Bulb contains a fluid which
expands when exposed to heat. When
the rated temperature is reached, the
fluid expands sufficiently to shatter the
glass Bulb, allowing the sprinkler to

The Series TY-FRB Pendent and Upright Sprinklers are intended for fire
protection systems designed in accordance with the standard installation
rules recognized by the applicable

Instalación
Los rociadores de la Serie TY-FRB deben
instalarse de acuerdo con las siguientes instrucciones:
NOTAS
No instalar ningún rociador si la ampolla está
fisurada o parte del líquido ha salido de la
ampolla. Con el rociador en posición horizontal, debe ser visible una pequeña burbuja de
aire. El diámetro de la burbuja va aproximadamente de 1,5 mm (1/16”) para la temperatura nominal de 57°C (135°F) a 3 mm (3/32”)
para la de 141°C (286°F).
Se aplicará un par de 10 a 19 Nm (de 7 a 14 ft.
lbs) para obtener la estanqueidad necesaria
en la rosca de 1/2” NPT del rociador. El par
máximo admisible para la instalación de los
rociadores con rosca de 1/2” NPT es de 29 Nm
(21 ft.lbs). Se aplicará un par de 13 a 37 Nm
(10 a 20 ft.lbs) para obtener la estanqueidad
necesaria en la rosca de 3/4” NPT del rociador.
El par máximo admisible para la instalación
de los rociadores con rosca de 3/4” NPT es de
41 Nm (30 ft.lbs). Valores más elevados de par
pueden distorsionar la entrada del rociador
y provocar una fuga de agua o perjudicar el
funcionamiento del rociador.
No se debe compensar el ajuste incorrecto
de una placa embellecedora aumentando o
reduciendo el par del rociador. Es preferible
ajustar la posición del accesorio del rociador.
Los rociadores colgantes y montantes de
la Serie TY-FRB deben instalarse de acuerdo con las siguientes instrucciones:
1er paso. Los rociadores colgantes sólo deben ser instalados en posición colgante, y
los montantes sólo en posición montante.
2° paso. Aplicar sellante de tubería a la rosca de entrada y enroscar el rociador al accesorio con tensión manual.
3er paso. Apretar el rociador con la llave
adecuada -sólo la llave de rociador W‑TYPE 6 (ver Figura 14). En relación a las Figuras
1, 2, 3, 4 y 5, la llave de rociador W‑TYPE 6
se debe aplicar a la ranura correspondiente
del rociador.
Los rociadores colgantes de la Serie TYFRB deben instalarse de acuerdo con las
siguientes instrucciones:
Paso A. Después de instalar una placa de
soporte Estilo 10, 20, 30 ó 40, según el caso,
en la rosca del rociador y de aplicar sellante de tubería a la rosca de entrada, apretar
manualmente el rociador al accesorio.
Paso B. Enroscar el rociador al accesorio
usando exclusivamente la llave del rociador
empotrado W‑TYPE 7 (ver Figura 15). Para
las Figuras 1, 2,3 y 4, la llave de rociador empotrado W‑TYPE 7 debe usarse en las superficies de contacto.
Paso C. Una vez instalado el techo o finalizado su acabado, se hará deslizar por encima del rociador de Serie TY-FRB una pieza
de ajuste Estilo 10, 20, 30 ó 40 que se presionará por encima de la placa de soporte
hasta que la brida llegue a tocar el techo.

Los productos de Tyco Fire & Building Products (TFBP) se garantizan, únicamente al

10 años contra cualquier defecto en el material o mano de obra, siempre que hayan
sido pagados y correctamente instalados
y mantenidos en condiciones normales de
uso y servicio. Esta garantía caduca a los

productos y componentes que hayan sido

inapropiada o a la corrosión, o que no hayan
sido instalados, mantenidos, modificados o
reparados en conformidad con las normas
aplicables de la National Fire Protection Association o con las normas o reglas de otra
autoridad jurisdiccional. Cualquier material
que TFBP considere defectuoso será reparado o sustituido, según decisión exclusiva de
TFBP. TFBP no acepta, ni autoriza a ninguna
persona a aceptar de parte de TFBP, ninguna otra responsabilidad en relación con la
venta de sus productos o componentes de
sus productos. TFBP no acepta ninguna responsabilidad por errores en el diseño de los
sistemas de rociadores ni por información
inexacta o incompleta que haya podido su-
ministrar el Comprador o los representantes de éste.
En ningún caso será responsable TFBP, por
contrato, delito civil, responsabilidad objetiva, o según cualquier otra teoría jurídica,
por daños incidentales, indirectos, especiales o consecuenciales, incluyendo, de
modo no limitativo, los gastos de mano de
obra, independientemente de si TFBP ha
sido informado sobre la posibilidad de tales
daños, y en ningún caso será la responsabilidad de TFBP superior en valor al precio de
venta original.
Esta garantía sustituye cualquier otra garantía explícita o implícita, incluyendo cualquier garantía de comerciabilidad o adecuación del producto para un determinado
uso.
Esta garantía limitada establece la solución
exclusiva para reclamaciones basadas en
una avería o defecto en los productos, materiales o componentes, ya sea interpuesta
