Welcome to Another World!
Not long ago, Willy-Brandt Zeltlagerplatz
was an empty campsite, just a collection
of fields, some trees. Now there’s a whole
infrastructure of tents, shower buildings,
a Youth Area, cafes…
A team of Falcon comrades from SJD-Die
Falken, the hosts of the IFM-SEI Camp 2016
have worked extremely hard, through heatwaves, rainstorms and much more to
build this infrastructure of our international camp ‘Welcome to Another World!’
But the ‘Other World’ is not built yet! It is
each one of us, an international community of about 2000 people who will fashion
this new world filled with friendship, peace, solidarity, democracy and equality. Let’s
put our values and ideals into practice in
this counter-world, enjoy the experience
a socialist community for two weeks this
summer and show that another world is
possible!

Welt!
Vor kurzem war der Willy-Brandt Zeltlagerplatz noch ein leeres Gelände. Eine
Ansammlung von Wiesen, Feldern und ein
paar Bäumen. Und jetzt stehen da hunderte Zelte, Sanitäranlagen, eine Youth
Area, Cafés, und und und…
Ein tolles Team der Sozialistischen Jugend
Deutschlands – Die Falken, die Gastgeberorganisation des IFM-SEI Camp 2016, hat
in den letzten Wochen hart gearbeitet
und Wind und Wetter gestrotzt, um die
Infrastruktur für unser internationales
Zeltlager unter dem Motto „Welcome to
another World!“ auf die Beine zu stellen.
Aber diese „andere Welt“ ist noch nicht
fertig erbaut! Es wird an uns allen sein,
als internationale Gemeinschaft von etwa
2000 Leuten diese Welt zu gestalten und
mit Freundschaft, Frieden, Solidarität, Demokratie und Gleichheit zu füllen. Lasst
uns unsere Ideen in die Tat umsetzen
und diese „Gegenwelt“ erlebbar für alle
machen, indem wir zwei Wochen lang
die sozialistische
Gemeinschaft erfahren und zeigen,
dass eine andere
Welt möglich ist!
Bienvenidas a
otro mundo!
Hace poco tiempo,
Willy-Brandt Zeltlagerplatz era un
campamento vacío,
con mucho espacio
y algunos árboles. Ahora hay toda una
infraestructura de tiendas, edificios con
baños y duchas, un área para la juventud,
cafeterías…
Un equipo de compañeras de SJD-Die Falken, los anfitrionas del campamento 2016
de IFM-SEI, han trabajado mucho, a través
de olas de calor, tormentas de lluvia y mucho más, para construir la infraestructura
de nuestro campamento internacional
‚Bienvenido a otro mundo!‘
¡Sin embargo, el „otro mundo“ todavía no
está construido! Nos toca a cada una de
nosotras, una comunidad internacional
de aprox. 2000 personas, crear este nuevo
mundo lleno de amistad, paz, solidaridad,
democracia e igualdad. ¡Vamos a poner
nuestros valores e ideales en práctica en
este contra-mundo, disfrutar de la experiencia de una comunidad socialista durante dos semanas y demostrar que otro
mundo es posible!
Ihr seid angekommen – WAS
NUN?
Wenn ihr diese kleine Zeitung in den Händen haltet, dann habt ihr die erste wichtige Station schon erreicht: die Anmeldung.
Wenn ihr mit euren Gruppen auf dem
Platz angekommen seid, bekommt ihr
bei der Anmeldung eure Schlafplätze
zugewiesen. Wenn ihr das OK von euren Helferinnen und Helfern bekommen
habt, könnt ihr eurer Gepäck in die Zelte
bringen und euer Schlafquatier für die
nächsten zwei Wochen beziehen. Einige
von euch kennen die Leute, mit denen
ihr in einem Zelt schlaft, vielleicht noch
gar nicht. Wenn ihr noch Zeit habt, nutzt
die Gelegenheit, um euch kennen zu lernen. Nehmt euch das Camp-Handbuch
zusammen vor und schaut doch mal, wer
bei euch im Dorf und in der Stadt noch dabei ist. In der Mitte des Camp-Handbuchs
findet ihr eine Karte, die euch hilft, euch
zurecht zu finden.
Und da Reisen bekanntlich hungrig macht,
ist auch schon bald Zeit fürs Abendessen.
Um 18.30 Uhr gibt es das in euren Dörfern.
Danach laden euch die Falken um 19.30
Uhr an der zentralen Bühne zur Eröffnungsveranstaltung ein. Für die jüngeren
von euch geht es danach langsam ins Bett.
Der Tag war lang und ihr wollt ja sicher
alle fit und ausgeschlafen in den ersten
richtigen Tag morgen starten. Die älteren
Jugendlichen können ab 23 Uhr noch in
der Kneipe vorbei schauen, die auch schon
heute eröffnet wird.
Und ob Groß oder Klein, ab 8.30 Uhr gibt
es morgen Frühstück. Danach startet ihr
in euren Dörfern gemeinsam in den ersten
Tag, an dem ihr euch und eure Umgebung
weiter zusammen erkunden könnt.

Cuando tengas este pequeño periódico entre las manos, probablemente ya
habrás superado la primera prueba, la
inscripción.

Viajar siempre despierta hambre, así
que la cena estará lista a las 18:30 en
vuestro pueblo. Después, los Falcons os
invitan a participar en la ceremonia de
apertura a las 19:30h en el escenario
central. Para las más pequeñas de entre vosotros, el día terminará yendo a la
cama. El día ha sido muy largo y todas
queréis estar descansadas y a punto
para empezar el primer día mañana.
Para los jóvenes, el bar estará abierto
ésta noche a las 23:00h.
Ya sea pequeño o grande, mañana por
la mañana tendréis el desayuno preparado a las 8:30h. Después empezaréis
el día en vuestro pueblo conociendo
mejor a sus habitantes y el entorno.

Wir hoffen, euch gefällt die erste Ausgabe unserer Camp-Zeitung. Es gibt
sicherlich noch einiges schöner und
spannender zu gestalten.
Wenn ihr Lust habt, daran während des
Zeltlagers mitzuhelfen: Kein Problem!
Der Medienraum ist dazu da, dass ihr
eure eigenen Medien gastalten könnt.
Dort könnt ihr an der Zeitung oder den
Videonachrichten des „Channel F!“
mitarbeiten und dort Artikel schreiben
oder die Ideen für Beiträge entwickeln,
Comics zeichnen, Interviews führen,
Fotos machen, Videos drehen und Beiträge für unseren Camp-Blog www.
welcome2anotherworld.org produzieren. Ihr seid die Redakteurinnen und
Redakteure.
Kommt einfach vorbei im Medienraum, den ihr im selben Gebäude wie
die Waschräume findet. Ihr könnt eure
Ideen einbringen, Tipps und Tricks zum
Erstellen von Medien lernen und als
Medienteam das Camp regelmäßig
mit den Ergebnissen eurer Arbeit über
die aktuellen Geschehnisse auf dem
Platz informieren.
Unsere Camp-Medien gehören nicht
irgendeinem Medienmogul – sondern
uns! Helft mit, die Medien so zu gestalten, wie ihr sie haben wollt!

And because travelling makes you
hungry, dinner will be ready soon at
6.30 p.m. in your villages. Afterwards,
the Falcons invite you to participate in
the opening event at 7.30 p.m. at the
central stage. For the younger ones
of you, the day is about to finish with
bedtime. The day has been long and
you all want to be fit and well-rested
for a good start to the first day tomorrow. For the older teenagers, the bar
will open tonight at 11 p.m.

grupo, es allí donde encontrarás la información sobre dónde están vuestras
tiendas de dormir. Si los ayudantes de
vuestro grupo así os loa indican, ya podréis instalaros en las tiendas y encontrar el espacio donde dormiréis durante las próximas dos semanas. Algunas
de vosotras puede que no conozcáis a
la gente de los otros grupos. Si tenéis
tiempo antes de cenar, usadlo para
conoceros entre vosotras. Además, podéis leer en el Manual del campo con
quién más vais a compartir pueblo y
ciudad. En el centro del Manual encontraréis un mapa que os ayudará a orientaros por el campamento.

When you have arrived with your group
at the camp site, it is at the registration that you will get the information of
where your sleeping tents are. If your
group helpers give you signal, you can
put your luggage in your tents and
find your sleeping space for the next
two weeks. Some of you might not
know everyone in your groups. If you
have some time before dinner, use it to
get to know each other. Also take the
Camp Handbook and have a look who
else will be with you in your village and
your town. In the middle of the handbook, there is also a map which will
help you to find your way around.

Die Eröffnung
Schön, dass ihr auf dem Platz angekommen seid! Ihr habt sicher alle weite Strecken zurück gelegt. Aus aller
Welt sind Kinder, Jugendliche und junge Erwachsene angereist, um hier gemeinsam zwei tolle Wochen auf dem
IFM-Camp zu verbringen.
Und entsprechend gibt es jetzt viel
zu entdecken und viele Leute kennen
zu lernen. Bei einem so großen Camp
ist es gar nicht so einfach, sich einen
Überblick zu verschaffen. Eine erste
Gegenheit bietet euch die Eröffnungsveranstaltung heute Abend um 19.30
Uhr an der zentralen Bühne.
Seit Tagen werkelt das Moderationsteam, um euch ein unterhaltsames
Programm zu liefern, dass euch auch
mit den wichtigsten Infos versorgt.
Das solltet ihr nicht verpassen. Also
schnappt euch heute gleich nach dem
Abendessen eure Gruppen und sichert
euch einen Platz an der Bühne.
The opening event
Welcome to the camp site! You have
all travelled long distances to get here.
There are kids, teenagers and young
adults from all over the world who
have come here today to spend two
amazing weeks together at this IFM
Camp.
And there is so much for you to discover and so many people to get to
know! Your first chance to get a good
overview about who is here and what
will happen will be tonight at the central opening event at 7.30 p.m. at the
central stage. A moderation team has
prepared the events for days now to
offer you an exciting program, which
will also provide you with key information. You shouldn’t miss it! So, catch
your groups right after dinner and save
yourselves a good spot in front of the
stage!
La ceremonia de apertura
Bienvenidas al campamento! Todos
habéis viajado grandes distancias para
llegar.
Hay niños y niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes de todo el mundo que han llegado
hoy para pasar juntos dos semanas
espectaculares en el Campamento del
IFM. Hay muchas cosas para descubrir
y mucha gente que conocer! La primera oportunidad que tenéis de descubrir
quien está aquí y qué pasará durante estas semanas será ésta noche a
las 19:30h durante la ceremonia de
apertura en el escenario central. Los
presentadores han estado preparando
el evento durante mucho tiempo y os
ofrecerán un programa entretenido
con mucha información útil e importante. No os lo podéis perder! Así que,
juntaos con vuestro grupo después de
la cena y reservad un buen sitio para el
espectáculo!
Youth Area (DE)
Während des Camps gibt es ein buntes, kreatives und teilweise auch selbstorganisiertes Kulturprogramm in der
Youth Area.
Die Bars in den Großzelten am Ende
des Platzes haben jeden Tag geöffnet.
An jedem zweiten Tag (beginnend am
Montag, 25.07) gibt es ab 22:00 Uhr
die Disko im Zirkuszelt. Am Sonntag
(24.07. - 11:00 Uhr) startet das Kulturprogramm auf der Bühne in der Youth
Area mit „Tiempos Nuevos Teatro“. Die
Jugendlichen auf El Salvador setzen
sich in ihrer rasanten Mischung aus
Theater, Tanz und Akrobatik mit den
Themen Migration und Verdrängung
auseinander. Am gleichen Tag um 16:30
Uhr lädt das Lower Class Magazine zu
einem Vortrag über Kurdistan mit
anschließender Diskussion in den
DIY-Bereich ein. Am Montag folgt
der erste Top-Act: Doctor Krápula
rockt die große Bühne mit feinstem Ska-Punk (19:30 Uhr). Am
Dienstag (26.07.) seid ihr gefragt:
ab nachmittags steigt auf der
Bühne die erste Jam-Session. Weitere kulturelle Highlights folgen
in den nächsten Tagen – achtet
auf die Aushänge und die aktuellen Ausgaben dieser Zeitung.
Youth Area (EN)
There will be a colourful, creative and
partly self-organized cultural program
in the Youth Area during the Camp. The
bars in the event tents at the far end
of the camp site will be open every day.
Every second day, beginning Monday
July 25th, there will also be dancing in
the circus tent. On Sunday (July 24th, 11
a.m.) the cultural program will start at
the stage with a group called “Tiempos
Nuevos Teatro“ in which young people
from El Salvador engage in an exciting
mixture of theatre, dance and gymnastics to address topics such as migration and suppression.
On the same day at 4.30 p.m., the Lower Class Magazine invites you to a
presentation with discussion on Kurdistan in the DIY-area. The first top act
is waiting for you on Monday: Doctor
Krápula will rock the stage with finest
Ska-Punk (at 7.30 p.m.). Tuesday (July
26th) will be your day: There will be
a jam session on the stage for you to
be involved in. More highlights will
come in the following days. See the
infopoints and the next edition of this
newspaper for more information.
Youth Area (ES)
Habrá un programa cultural colorido, creativo y parcialmente auto-organizado en la Youth Area durante el
campamento. Los bares en las tiendas
de eventos al final del campamento
estarán abiertos cada día.
Cada dos días, empezando el lunes 25
de Julio, habrá música y baile en la tienda del circo. Domingo (24 de julio a las
11:00h) el programa cultural empezará
en el escenario con el grupo “Tiempos
Nuevos Teatro” en el que jóvenes de El
Salvador nos proponen una mezcla de
teatro, danza y gimnasia sobre temas
como migraciones y opresión.
El mismo día a las 16:30h, el Lower
Class Magazine os invita a la conferencia con debate sobre el Kurdistán en el
area DYI. El primer conciertazo os espera el lunes: Doctor Krápula hará vibrar
el escenario con su fantástico Ska-Punk
(a las 19:30h). Martes (26 julio) será
vuestro día: tendremos la primera session jam en el escenario. Durante los
siguientes días habrá más actividades
destacadas, estas atentos a los puntos
de información y seguid el periódico
para estar al día de todas las actividades.

Dear friends and comrades
in IFM-SEI,
fünf Jahre sind seit dem Tag vergangen, dem Tag, der alles veränderte,
dem Tag, an dem AUF und Norwegen
vom Terror angegrffen wurden. Die
Solidarität, die wir in den Tagen und
Jahren danach erfahren haben, gibt
uns Kraft.
Han pasado cinco años des de aquel
día, el día que lo cambió todo, el día
que el terror golpeó AUF i Noruega.
Apreciamos gratamente toda la solidaridad que recibimos en el día y los años
que siguieron.
Five years have passed since that day,
the day that changed everything, the
day terror struck AUF and Norway. We
greatly appreciate the solidarity we
were met with in the days and years
that have followed.
Cinco años es mucho tiempo pero a la
vez es poco tiempo. Cinco años es mucho tiempo para sentir el dolor, la aflicción i la pérdida. Pero cinco años también es poco tiempo para curar unas
heridas tan profundas. Los recuerdos
de las personas que perdimos son tan
fuertes ahora como lo eran hace cinco
años. El recuerdo de quienes eran y por
lo que trabajaban nos inspirara y motivara siempre.
Five years is a long time, but also a
short time. Five years is a long time to
feel the pain, grief and loss. But five years is also little time to heal when the
wounds are so deep. The memories of
the ones we lost are as strong today as
they were five years ago. The memory
of who they were, and what they worked for will forever inspire and motivate the rest of us.
Fünf Jahre sind eine lange Zeit, aber
gleichzeitig auch eine kurze Zeit. Fünf
Jahre sind eine lange Zeit, um Schmerz,
Trauer und Verlust zu fühlen. Aber fünf
Jahre sind eine kurze Zeit, damit Wunden heilen. Die Erinnerungen an jene,
die wir verloren haben, sind heute genauso stark wie vor fünf Jahren. Die
Erinnerung daran, wer sie waren und
wofür sie gearbeitet haben, wird uns
immer inspirieren und motivieren.
In wenigen Wochen wird AUF wieder
zu einem Zeltlager nach Utøya fahren,
dem zweiten auf der Insel seit den Anschlägen von 2011. Die Anschläge werden immer ein Teil unserer Geschichte
sein und wir werden diejenigen, die
wir verloren haben, immer in Erinnerung behalten. Aber gleichzeitig hat
Utøya eine lange Tradition als Lernund Austauschort der Arbeiter*innenbewegung und für uns war es wichtig,
Utøya wieder aufzubauen – in Zusammenarbeit mit den Familien von denen, die wir verloren haben. Unsere
Botschaft ist, dass Utøya wieder ein
Zentrum für das Engagement junger
Menschen werden soll, die die Welt zu
einem besseren Ort machen wollen.
Der 22. Juli hat uns gezeigt, dass wir
Freiheit nicht für immer gewonnen
haben, dass unsere Demokratie jeden
Tag aufs Neue verteidigt werden muss.
Wir müssen wachsam sein, gerade
jetzt, wenn Extremismus stärker wird,
in Europa und in der ganzen Welt. Die
Geschichte des 22. Juli ist die Geschichte davon, wozu Extremismus führen
kann. Was am 22. Juli passiert ist, war
keine Naturkatastrophe, es war ein
rechtsextremistischer
Terrorangriff.
Das dürfen wir nie vergessen. Wenn
wir sehen, wie Kräfte versuchen unsere
Gesellschaft durch Hass zu teilen, müssen wir Mut zeigen.
Niemand wird voller Hass geboren,
Hass wird von Menschen gemacht. Wir
müssen laut werden gegen den Hass.
Wir müssen aufstehen für unsere gemeinsamen Werte.
Wir werden weiter kämpfen.
Wir werden nie vergessen.
En unas semanas, AUF se reunirá una
vez más en nuestro campamento de
verano en Utøya, el Segundo des de los
ataques en 2011. El ataque terrorista
será siempre parte de nuestra historia, y honraremos siempre el recuerdo
de aquellos que perdimos. No obstante, al mismo tiempo, Utøya tiene una
larga tradición de ser un punto focal
para el movimiento obrero, y ha sido
importante para nosotros reconstruir
Utøya, en cooperación con las familias
de las personas que perdimos. Nuestro
mensaje es que Utøya ha de volver a
ser el centro del compromiso que las
personas jóvenes tienen de hacer de
éste un mundo mejor.
El 22 de Julio nos enseñó que nuestra libertad no es para siempre, que nuestra
democracia ha de ser defendida cada
día. Hemos de estar alerta cuando el
extremismo está en auge en Europa, y
en todo el mundo. Los hechos del 22 de
Julio relatan la historia de lo que el extremismo puede llevar. Lo que paso el
22 de Julio no fue una catástrofe natural, fue un ataque terrorista de la extrema derecha. No hemos de olvidar esto.
Cuando nos enfrentamos a fuerzas
que tratan de dividir nuestra sociedad
extendiendo el odio, hemos de mostrar
coraje
Nadie ha nacido para odiar- el odio es
fruto de la humanidad. Tenemos que
luchar contra el odio. Tenemos que defender nuestros valores comunes.
In a few weeks, AUF will once again
gather for our summer camp at Utøya,
the second one back since the attacks
of 2011. The terror attacks will always
be a part of our history, and we will
always honor the memories of those
we lost. However, at the same time,
Utøya has a long tradition for being a
focal point of the labour movement,
and for us it has been important to rebuild Utøya, in co-operation with the
families of those we lost. Our message
is that Utøya shall once again be the
center for young people’s commitment
to make the world a better place.
The 22nd of July taught us that our
freedom is not won forever, that our
democracy must be defended every
day. We must be alert when extremism
is on the rise, in Europe and the whole
world. The story of 22 July is the story
of what extremism can lead to. What
happened on 22 July was not a natural
catastrophe; it was a right wing extremist terrorist attack. We must never
forget that. When we are facing forces
that are trying to divide our society
through spreading hate, we have to
show courage.
No one is born to hate. Hate is manmade. We have to speak up against the
hate. We have to stand up for our common values.
We will continue to fight.
We will never forget.
