SENATOR GARCIA TO ATTEND PAPAL VISIT IN CIUDAD JUAREZ
Senator Sylvia R. Garcia, Chair of the Texas Senate Hispanic Caucus, is traveling to El Paso, Texas and
Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to attend events surrounding the visit of Pope Francis. Senator Garcia stated
before departing Houston:
"We're hopeful that Pope Francis will bring the message that leaders must work together to create a
more sensible, humane immigration policy. It's an honor as a Catholic and a leader in the State of Texas
to be the guest of our neighbor, the mayor of Ciudad Juarez on this historic occasion."
SENADORA GARCIA ATENDERÁ VISITA PAPAL EN CIUDAD JUAREZ
Senadora Sylvia R. Garcia, Cabecilla de el Caucus Hispano del Senado de Tejas esta viajando a El Paso,
Tejas y Ciudad Juarez, Mexico para atender eventos sobre la visita del Papa Francisco. Antes de irse de
Houston la Senadora Garcia dijo: "Estamos esperanzados que el Papa Francisco traera el mensaje que lideres deben trabajar juntos para
crear una poliza de immigracion mas humana y sensible. Es un honor como Catolica y como lider en el
estado de Tejas, ser una invitada de nuestro vecino, el Alcalde de la Ciudad Juarez en esta ocasion
historica."
