Available spaces for academic year 2014-2015:
4 students per year / 2 students per semester ( actually, there are no restrictions
concerning the courses access but we have a very limited number of places at the student
house)
Application Deadlines: 15th June (Fall semester) 15th November (Spring Semester)
Academic Calendar: First semester: From mid/end of September to end of February.
Second semester: From mid/end of February to end of July.
Costs: The Insubria exchangee will incur the following expenses:
Insubria tuition: not registration fees
Room in Collegio S. Teresa: € 310 per month
Private accommodation: € 500/600 per month, at least
Room in private accommodation: € 300 per month , at least
Medical Insurance: is to be made in the country of origin
Fees: N/A
Books: it depends, on average a university book is around 50/70 €, but students can
consult
and
make
photocopies
of
the
texts
in
our
libraries;
Personal expenses: N/A
Total per year: € 9000 year
Total per semester: € 4500 semester ($6.000 USD)
Language Requirements: Lectures at the University of Insubria are in Italian (although
research seminars may be given in English as well; therefore the knowledge of the Italian
language would be essential. The university offers A FREE ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSE
FOR BEGINNERS to all incoming exchange students and normally teachers do speak English
and tend to help Erasmus students by providing them with English bibliography as well as
permitting them to do their examinations in English.

Restrictions: only students in LAW are accepted.

Information to obtain the visa: Students should be able to prove that they have a bank
account with enough money to cover living costs for a year/semester ($12.000 per year).
Before the departure, students have to ask for VISTO at the Italian Embassy in Ecuador,
we will send them a certificate of acceptance.
After the arrival, they have to ask for PERMESSO DI SOGGIORNO, we will help them
with the requested procedures.
