Rules and Regulation EVS Film Festival 2016 Contest organized by: French National Agency for Erasmus+ (Youth & Sport) AGENCE DU SERVICE CIVIQUE GROUPEMENT D’INTERET PUBLIC/ SIRET : 130 011 844 00011 95 Avenue de France Paris 75013 An online video contest: The European program "Youth in Action" accompanies youth involved in projects on a daily basis. 2013 was the first edition of the video contest; 2016 will be the 4th edition, this year focused on Youth involvement into the society, in all its, in link with the 20th EVS anniversary. So this will be again the perfect opportunity for everyone to share their vision of citizenship. "EVS Film Festival" offers a creative way to exchange ideas about civic engagement as we invite participant to illustrate the sentence: “To be 20, a part to play and get involved. This video contest will take place online, relying on social networks and a dedicated page (http://www.erasmusplus-jeunesse.fr/), and will fit the establishment of a European seminar about "EVS 20th Anniversary." This event is organized by the French National Agency for Erasmus+ (Youth & Sport) with the support of the city of Montreuil, on September 22nd and 23rd . The contest is organized by the French National Agency for Erasmus+ (Youth & Sport) with the support of Ministry in charge of urban policy, Youth and Sports ,the City of Montreuil , CaféBabel, Agence du Service civique, Action ! and Carte Jeunes Européenne. The films in competition will be submitted online via Wetreansfer than uploaded on the dedicated contest page on the platform Youtube and on the video contest Facebook page. Rules and Regulation EVS Film Festival 2016 Who this competition is open to: Participation in the contest is free and requires participant’s acceptance of these regulations This festival is open to any person residing in Europe*, between 13 and 35 years old (Minors must be represented by an adult). The current or former participants of the European program Erasmus + are strongly encouraged to take part. One special prize will award the best film sent by an EVS volunteer(EVS). In order to do so, participants should mention « EVS » on the registration form. Films must reflect a personal vision of citizenship. Videos must be made by the participants themselves. Videos must be submitted on line before 2016, September 3rd (midnight). What kind of movies: Competing films can be shot with a video camera, standard camera or a mobile phone and can be consist of one or several edited sequences. It is also possible to make the film in stop-motion, time-lapse or animation. Soundtracks and images used must be royalty free. Films in competition must meet the following technical requirements for an up-load on Youtube’s website : (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?rd= ) Languages: Films must be in French or English (VOST) Duration: Films must have a maximum duration of 3 minutes. Prices: 1) 1st prize 2) 2nd prize 3) EVS prize The 3 prize winners will be invited to participate in an event celebrating the 20 years of European Voluntary Service held in Montreuil on 2016 September 22nd-23rd. More information to come on http://www.erasmusplus-jeunesse.fr/. Depending on the quality of applications, a special prize might be awarded to a movie done by a youngster under 18 y. The eventual reward will be then introduce on the social networks dedicated to the contest. Rules and Regulation EVS Film Festival 2016 How the selection will be done: The jury will be composed of young and influential personalities in the field of audio-visual creation, environmental issues and Youth. After viewing and deliberating, the jury will award the 4 Jury prizes. They will also make the selection of films which will be presented May, 8th in Montreuil. Creativity and involvement of youngsters at every stage of film making will be particularly promoted during the Jury deliberation. Operating videos: Each of the videos submitted to the organizers in the competition, whether a winning entry or not, is likely to be broadcast for non-commercial purposes on the Internet in order to promote active citizenship. The organizers will not compromise in any way the integrity of videos submitted to the contest and will always highlight the work of the film maker. Candidates and winners commitments: Participants certify that each candidate is the author or co-author of the video and guarantees the organizers against all claims of third parties in this respect. The participant shall certify to the organizers that the video is original and does not constitute a violation of intellectual property rights. Participants guaranty the organizers that they hold the necessary rights and authorizations of the owners, collecting societies, with special regard to images of people used, and the broadcast of copyrighted music. Failure to respect these conditions will result in the disqualification of the participant(s). The organizers are free to use all or part of the works which have been addressed, for dissemination and exploitation. The works will be used exclusively for the purpose of information and communication for the promotion of Youth active citizenship, excluding any commercial exploitation. The winners expressly authorize the organizers to use their name(s), surnames and addresses for all promotional purposes of the Contest, including the publication of the list of winners in broadcast media, print or electronic, whatever the medium used, this includes publication on the European program "Youth in Action" page of the French national agency website and its partners. Protection of personal data: The personal information collected as part of the competition is treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act n ° 78-17 of 6 January 1978. Participants are informed that the personal data concerning them is recorded in the competition and is required when taking into consideration their entry in the competition.
