Follow the Ball
Most babies begin tracking objects with their eyes at 2 months. Tracking is important. Children will
need to track with their eyes in order to perform hand and eye coordination tasks and they will need
this skill much later when they learn to read.
Objectives:
A.3.a. Looks at and follows faces and objects with eyes
E.2.a. Demonstrates persistence in learning and discovery
Place a baby on the floor on her tummy. Sit in front of her and
spread your legs to create a barrier on each side. Roll a small ball
slowly from side to side in front of the baby and encourage her to
follow the ball with her eyes.

E.2.a. Demuestra perseverancia para aprender y descubrir
Coloque a un bebé en el piso sobre la barriguita. Siéntese frente
a él y ponga una pierna a cada lado para formar una barrera.
Haga rodar una pelota pequeña lentamente de lado a lado
frente al bebé y anímelo a seguir a la pelota con los ojos.
