"Today we have learned of the untimely death of a Danvers teacher.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to this teacher, her family, friends
and colleagues. This is truly a time of profound grief and sadness in
Danvers and among all of us. We have offered to help our counterparts in Danvers as may be needed in the difficult days ahead. Here
in Salem, we are in contact with all of our principals and schoolbased leaders to insure that our safety/security protocols remain in
place. We encourage you to remain vigilant, continue to bring
concerns that arise to our attention and continue to partner with us
in insuring every child's health and safety."
