Hay un olor desconocido de detergente para suelos.
Ese interminable juego llamado realidad ...
¿Cómo será tener unas reglas?
¿Quién por favor marca el campo de juego?
La gente nos mira.
Dos mujeres,
sentadas en un espacio vacío,
vacío aparte de un conjunto de sillas.
- supposed to be seen invita al publico a entrar en el mundo de
dos mujeres, que caminan juntas con paso frágil, apoyándose,
entre sus realidades interiores y el mundo exterior.
Todos conocemos la sensación de confusión en nuestra vida.
Todos hemos experimentado que la gente nos mira y nos juzga.
Inspirado por esos momentos y sensaciones, Pregnant Theatre ha
creado una obra original sumergiéndose en ésta cuestión: ¿Qué
forma nuestra realidad?. Probablemente hay muchas realidades,
esistiendo simultanemente, y nadie nos puede decir cual es la
real. He aquí un tema profundo y sensible, que también está
presentado con humor: dos mujeres en un espacio vacío que
intentan encontrar las reglas de ese juego llamado realidad.
En esa obra, Pregnant Theatre de Australia y Suiza une humor,
movimiento en el absurdo, lenguas diversas (ingles, español o
incluso suizo alemán) con una banda sonora original, y el objetivo
de romper los limites entre público y narrativa.
Debut en Edinburgh Fringe Festival agosto 2014.

2 3 4 5 La compañía PREGNANT THEATRE está formada por Jessica
Sowerby y Sabin Huber en cooperación con Nathalie Huber.
Pregnant Theatre, iniciado por Sabin y Jessica, empieza a trabajar
en 2010 luego de encontrarse en la Escuela Internacional de
Mimo Corporal MOVEO en Barcelona. En 2012 se agrega Nathalie
como músico.
La compañía se distingue por su dinamismo, su coraje en la
acción creativa y su amor en la precisión de composición.
Pregnant Theatre se ha inspirado de artistas como Jean Tinguely,
John Cage, Grotowski, Stanislawski, Laban, Imre Thormann y Sten
Rudstroem.
Para lograr su objetivo de crear la obra, han tomado como punto
de partida las improvisaciones de movimiento, lengua y sonido. En
el movimiento, el mimo corporal es la técnica principal, además
de elementos de la danza, del teatro físico y del clown. En la
música trabaja con sampling, recordings y palabras que se
mezclan con melodías y ruidos.
Jessica – actriz, licenciada en arte dramático y mimo, vive en
Barcelona.
Sabin – licenciada en mimo y teatro físico, terapeuta de
psicomotricidad infantil, vive en Berna, Suiza.
Nathalie – músico, licenciada en composición y arrangement,
profesora y directora de su propia escuela de música en
Lausanne, Suiza.

6 JESSICA SOWERBY
Born in Adelaide, Australia, in 1979, after graduating from Adelaide Centre for the
Arts in 2002, she became co-founder of Adelaide based physical ensemble Chopt
Logic and worked regularly with Splash Children’s theatre. In 2005 she moved to
Europe, being fascinated with the techniques of Grotowski, and after completing
intensive workshops with Poland’s Teatr Piesn Kozla she undertook classical singing
training in Trevi, Italy, also directing children’s theatre in Umbria. In 2012 she
graduated from Barcelona’s MOVEO International School for Corporeal Mime and
Physical theatre. Being fluent in Italian and Spanish, one of Jessica’s latest pieces was
multiple language/site specific “Landscape by Request” with Theatre Continuo,
Czech Republic, performing in six languages whilst on a moving train. Other recent
theatre credits include collaboration and performance with Zecora Ura Teatro in
Brazil, voice-overs for the animated series “The Histoy of the Pirates” in Barcelona,
“The Bridge” for Hanyong Theatre South Korea in the Assitej festival, and August
Strindberg’s “La Señorita Julia” with AbreTeatro in Barcelona.
Jessica is an actress with experience in performance, directing, producing,
translating and teaching.
SABIN HUBER
Born in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 1979, Sabin studied from 2010 - 2012 Corporeal Mime
at MOVEO School in Barcelona. Before this she dedicated two years learning
pantomime/ mime/ physical theatre in Berlin with teachers such as Anke Gerber for
classical Pantomime, Irina Andrejeva (Teatr Novoga Fronta, Prag) and Oleg
Zhukowsky (Derevo)for physical theatre and Oliver Pollak for corporeal mime. She
has also taken classes in acrobatics, classical dance, contact improvisation and
clown. In March 2009 Sabin was awarded with a study prize for physical theatre from
MIGROS Kulturstifung (CH) for one year. In addition she regularly studies butoh
(mainly inspired by Imre Thormann, Atsushi Takenouchi, Iwana Masaki) and Action
Theatre (Sten Ruedstroem).
For the last years, Sabin has been self-employed as movement actor creating and
performing her own shows as well as working for theatre companies.
In 2004 she obtained Diploma as a psychomotor therapist in Basel (CH) and since
then has worked for several years in different schools in and around Bern (CH). Sabin
has also worked as teacher for nature education for which she initiated a project for
children with and without physical and/or mental disability. In 2008 she completed a
basic course in Spiraldynamics in the field of physiotherapy.
NATHALIE HUBER
Born in Fribourg, Switzerland, in 1979, Nathalie studied the piano at the Academy of
Fribourg with Veronique Piller. She obtained her diploma in Composition and
Arrangement at the School of Jazz in Lausanne. She was an active part in the
projects of ”Les Urbaines”, Festival of emergent creations in Lausanne; also creating
with Samuel Blaser the composition “Engelsmaschine” which involved 30 musicians
(a whole orchestra of traditional musicians and jazz). Nathalie has also composed
several parts for a quartet, a quintet and a dectet.
Her work is now focused on experimental music, field recordings and sound design.
Nathalie is currently working with Coralie Lonfat, the dancer/mime artists Sabin
Huber, Jessica Sowerby, Nadja Rothenburger and the dancer Helena Pellisé.
With Frédéric Babey she is head of the music school “Atelier Musiquezag“ in

Con ex-akt las gemelas Nathalie y Sabin Huber unen sus talentos
artísticos combinando teatro físico, música experimental y
performance.
El nacer exactamente el mismo día, a veces produce una comunicación no
verbal. ¿Qué ocurre cuando estas historias se comunican a través del sonido
y el movimiento? ¿Dónde ocurren los conflictos? ¿Donde se producen los
roces?
Desde 2011, las obras „Kleine Heimat“ y „Eigenschatten“ fueron
creadas con esta colaboración. En primavera del 2014 la
associación ex-akt se ha fundado con el objetivo de promocionar
la obra teatral y musical de las hermanas. Después se preparo y se
organizo el tour 2014/2015.
