Needle roller flat cages
Needle roller flat cages thanks to the needle rollers that
form them, are able to stand very heavy loads and pressure,
furthermore their dimension is really small.
Their application is particularly required for machinery
requiring very high precision; needle roller flat cages are
formed by guidances which are different for their dimensions,
that are combined with linear cages.
Rolling grooves in order to obtain highest performances,
should have an hardness included between 58 and 64 HRC.
Concerning precision, we have to point out the fact that it is
determined by guides alignement: if they are perfectly lined
up and have the same length, in case of multiple coupling they
can reach best performances concerning precision in sliding
and noise; besides thanks to their many needle roller bearings
are able to stand very heavy loads.
Needle roller flat cages have an uniform and low friction,
this avoids “stick slip” effect anyway we have to say that
friction coefficient depends on mounting precision and
lubrication.
Lubrication can be effectued with oil or grease,
further additives can successfully be used; “drip feed
lubrication” system or “fog oil” system is particularly suitable
for dusty places.
Needle roller flat cages are already prelubricated and do not
need high quantity of lubricant.
Protections against external factors can be applied (oil seals):
in this case the oil seals have to perfectly adhered on rolling
grooves for the all length.
La característica principal de las jaulas de agujas lineales
planas es la de estar compuestas por numerosos cuerpos
rodantes, logrando así alcanzar capacidades de carga muy
elevadas y notable precisión, ocupando un espacio mínimo.
Este tipo particular de sistema se utiliza fundamentalmente
en máquinas que requieren una elevada precisión.
Las jaulas de agujas lineales planas están constituidas
por guías de diferentes dimensiones, combinadas con
jaulas planas. Los caminos de rodadura, para lograr un
rendimiento lo más elevado posible, deberán tener
necesariamente una dureza comprendida entre 58 y
64 HRC. En lo que se refiere a la precisión es necesario
puntualizar que está supeditada a la alineación de las
guías porque si éstas están perfectamente alineadas
y tienen todas la misma longitud (en el caso de varios
acoplamientos) se pueden alcanzar óptimos resultados de
precisión y de silenciosidad y soportar a la vez elevadas
cargas, gracias al elevado número de cuerpos rodantes.
Las jaulas de agujas lineales planas presentan una fricción
uniforme y baja. Dicha característica permite evitar el efecto
“stick slip”. Es necesario recordar de todos modos que el
coeficiente de fricción depende muchísimo de la precisión
de montaje y de la lubricación.
La lubricación podrá ser con grasa o con aceite; se aconseja
utilizar lubricantes con aditivos.
Es posible utilizar lubricación por goteo de aceite o niebla
de aceite, esta última particularmente idónea en caso de
ambientes con mucho polvo. Las jaulas de agujas lineales
planas se suministran ya con una capa de lubricante y no
necesitan grandes cantidades de lubricante.
Es posible aplicar protecciones (rascadores) que garantizan
un buen sellado contra eventuales impurezas externas. En
caso de montaje de rascadores prestar mucha atención a
que adhieran perfectamente a los caminos de rodadura en
toda la longitud de su carrera.
