school year is always an exciting time! It’s a time to see
friends whom you haven’t
seen for a couple of months
and also a chance to make
new ones. We would like to
extend warmest greetings to
you as we begin the 20162017 school year. I would
like to extend a special welcome to the new students
and families of the Sunridge
community. We look forward to an exciting school
year, one in which student
achievement is our focus.
Our goal is to provide our
students with the best education in a safe and nurturing learning environment.

As we begin a new school year
it always brings some change.
Mr. Altavilla has been promoted to be the principal at
one of our neighboring
schools. We wish him luck
with his new position , I know
that he will be successful. As
Mr. Altavilla leaves we are
very fortunate to have hired
Ms. Patricia Davis as
our new assistant principal. She comes to
Sunridge with over 10
years of administrative experience, and a
strong teaching background. We’re very
fortunate to have her
on our campus!

Welcome Mrs. Davis!
I would like to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Sunridge! This is my tenth year in
the district all of which were at Western Valley Middle School as the Assistant Principal. I am
very excited to work with the students, parents, and staff here at Sunridge. Let’s make this
the best year yet!
Here are some ways we can keep a safe and efficient morning environment:

If your child walks to school, please ensure they use the crosswalk at Roosevelt and
62nd Ave.

If you will drive your child to school, please make sure you drop them off at the north
parking lot located off 63rd Ave. The front parking lot is for buses only.

Students should not arrive to school prior to 7:30 AM.

¡Bienvenida Mrs. Davis!
¡Me gustaría introducirme como la Sub-Directora de Sunridge! Este es mi ano decimo en el
distrito en lo cual todos los anos he sido la Sub-Directora de la Escuela Secundaria Western
Valley. Estoy muy emocionada por trabajar con los estudiantes, padres y personal aquí en
Sunridge. ¡Vamos a hacer este ano el mas sobresaliente!
Aquí hay algunas maneras de mantener el ambiente seguro y eficiente en las mañanas:

Si su hijo/a camina a la escuela, por favor asegurarse que usan el cruce de peatones en 62
Ave y Roosevelt.

Si usted maneja su hijo/a a la escuela, por favor asegurarse que los dejen en el
estacionamiento al norte de la escuela en la 63 Ave. El estacionamiento de enfrente solo
es para los camiones.

Los estudiantes no deben llegar a la escuela antes de las 7:30 AM.
