REQUEST FOR ARGUMENTS "FOR" OR
"AGAINST" THE SPECIAL ELECTION
PRESCOTT UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1
Prescott Unified School District No. 1 of Yavapai County, Arizona (the "District"), will hold a
special bond, 4.66% maintenance and operation budget override and long-term lease/site sale election on
Tuesday, November 3, 2015. The District seeks authorization to (i) issue bonds in the principal amount
not to exceed $15,000,000, (ii) exceed its maintenance and operation budget by 4.66% of the revenue
control limit, (iii) sell, lease or exchange all or part of the parcel of real property commonly known as the
Washington Elementary School located at 300 East Gurley Street, Prescott, Arizona 86301, and use the
proceeds of any such sale to construct, improve and furnish school buildings and (iv) sell, lease or
exchange all or part of the parcel of real property commonly known as the Miller Valley Elementary
School located at 900 Iron Springs Road, Prescott, Arizona 86301. The estimated average annual tax rate
for the proposed bond authorization is $0.1742 per $100 of net assessed valuation used for secondary
property tax purposes. The total 4.66% budget override amount for the first year of the proposed override
is estimated to be $1,000,000 and would be funded in that year by an estimated $0.1314 tax rate per $100
of net assessed valuation used for secondary property tax purposes.
The Yavapai County School Superintendent will be preparing an informational pamphlet that will
be mailed to households containing one or more registered electors within the District. Any persons
wishing to submit an argument "for" or "against" the bond, override or long-term lease/site sale questions
(not to exceed 200 words each) may do so by mail or hand delivery of the argument to the Yavapai
County School Superintendent's office, 2970 Centerpoint East Drive, Prescott, AZ 86301; telephone:

To be included in the informational pamphlet, such argument must be received in the office of the
Yavapai County School Superintendent on or before 5:00 p.m., August 7, 2015. Such statements must be
signed and include the name of the District, author's name, the name of any entity submitting an
argument, address and telephone number. The entity and author's name will be printed in the information
pamphlet for any argument relating to the proposed bond, maintenance and operation budget override
and/or long-term lease/site sale question. The last day to register to vote in order to be eligible to vote in

DISTRITO ESCOLAR UNIFICADO NÚMERO 1 DE PRESCOTT
El Distrito Escolar Unificado Número 1 de Prescott del Condado de Yavapai, Arizona (el
"Distrito"), celebrará una elección especial concerniente a los bonos financieros, el sobrepaso del

Road, Prescott, Arizona 86301. Se estima que el promedio de la tasa de impuestos anual para la
autorización de los bonos financieros propuestos es $0.1742 por $100 de valor tasado neto usado para los
propósitos de los impuestos secundarios sobre la propiedad. La cantidad total de sobrepasar el
presupuesto 4.66% para el primer año del sobrepaso propuesto se estima en $1,000,000 y sería financiada
en ese año por una tasa de impuestos estimada de $0.1314 por $100 de valor tasado neto usado para los

El Superintendente de Escuelas del Condado de Yavapai estará preparando un folleto
