We are excited that Thomas C. Marsh Preparatory Academy is becoming an Innovation School
with a Personalized Learning model beginning in the 2015-2016 school year. The new
Personalized Learning model will be implemented starting with sixth grade and then will grow
one grade level each year to eventually serve the entire middle school.
An Innovation School is a type of Dallas ISD Choice School. As an Innovation School, Marsh will
remain a neighborhood school, keeping its traditional neighborhood attendance boundaries
and continuing to serve students living within those boundaries.
Our mission at Thomas C. Marsh Preparatory Academy is to increase student achievement by
providing a Personalized Learning environment where students show competency in their core
subjects through a technology-integrated, rotational classroom model.
At Marsh next year, sixth graders will be enrolled in a Humanities course which integrates
Reading/Language Arts and Social Studies. They will also take an exploratory elective period
known as M.E.N.D. (Matadors Exploring New Directions). In class, students will have the
opportunity to learn through a variety of methods, including small-group rotations, online
coursework, and project-based learning.

Thomas C. Marsh Preparatory Academy
¡Estamos muy contentos que comenzando el ciclo escolar 2015-2016, Thomas C. Marsh
Preparatory Academy será una “Innovation School” con un modelo de aprendizaje
personalizado! El nuevo aprendizaje personalizado se implementará comenzando en sexto
grado y aumentará un grado cada año para posteriormente contar con todos los grados de
secundaria.
Una “Innovation School” es un tipo de escuela de opción del Dallas ISD. Como plantel de esta
índole, Marsh permanecerá como escuela del vecindario, con su zona de asistencia tradicional y
continuará aceptando estudiantes que viven dentro de esa zona de asistencia escolar.
Nuestra misión en Thomas C. Marsh Preparatory Academy, es aumentar el desempeño
estudiantil, al proveer un entorno de aprendizaje personalizado donde los estudiantes
muestren competencia en sus materias básicas a través de un modelo de rotación de salón de
clases y donde se integra la tecnología.
Los estudiantes de sexto grado en Marsh, se inscribirán en un curso de Humanidades el cual
integra Artes del lenguaje/Lectura y Ciencias Sociales. También tomarán un periodo
exploratorio electivo conocido como M.E.N.D. (Matadors Exploring New Directions). En clase,
los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de aprender a través de una variedad de métodos,
incluyendo rotaciones en grupos pequeños, trabajo del curso en línea y aprendizaje a base de

Chúng tôi rất phấn khởi là trường Thomas C. Mash Preparatory Academy trở thành Trường Đổi
Mới với mẫu Học Tập Cá Nhân bắt đầu trong niên học 2015-2016. Mẫu Học Tập Cá Nhân mới
sẽ được thực hiện vào lớp Sáu và sau đó tăng lên từng lớp mỗi năm cho đến khi áp dụng cho
toàn trường.
Trường Đổi Mới là một loại trường Lựa Chọn trong học khu Dallas. Là một Trường Đổi Mới,
Marsh sẽ giữ nguyên là trường học khu phố, giữ nguyên truyền thống trong lằn ranh giới hạn
và tiếp tục phục vụ học sinh sinh sống trong lằn ranh giới hạn.
Nhiệm vụ của chúng tôi ở trường Thomas C. Mash Preparatory Academy là gia tăng sự thành
đạt của học sinh bằng cách cung cấp môi trường học Học Vấn Cá Nhân nơi đó học sinh cho thấy
năng lực trong những môn học cốt lõi thông qua mẫu đầy đủ kỹ thuật, trao đổi trong lớp học.
Ở Marsh năm học tới, những học sinh lớp sáu sẽ được ghi danh vào môn Nhân văn
(Humanities) thêm vào các môn Đọc/ Văn Phạm Anh Văn và xã hội Học. Học sinh cũng sẽ học
môn khám phá như là môn lựa chọn tên là M.E.N.D.(Mantory Exploring New Directions-Hướng
Dẫn Mới Khám Phá Căn Bản). Trong lớp học, học sinh sẽ cơ hội học tập thông qua nhiều
phương pháp thay đổi, bao gồm trao đổi trong một nhóm nhỏ, làm việc trên mạng lưới,và học
tập dựa trên dự án.
