Asociación de Demografía Histórica Associação de Demografia Histórica ____ REVISTA DE DEMOGRAFÍA HISTÓRICA Segunda Época Título Anterior: Boletín de la Asociación de Demografía Histórica ISSN: 1696-702X REVISTA DE DEMOGRAFÍA HISTÓRICA GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS (Last update, October 2014) The Revista de Demografía Histórica, with ISSN: 1696-702X, is a publication of the Asociación de Demografía Histórica de España y Portugal (ADEH- Spanish Association of Historical Demography of Spain and Portugal), which has been published continuously since 1983 with two issues per year. The primary objective of the Revista de Demografía Histórica is to present the results and findings of original research, theoretical and technical studies, bibliographic reviews, etc., conducted on the study of populations and their history of a number of different countries including Spain and Portugal. The characteristics, dynamics, structures, relations and implications that they have with respect to the different social and economic frameworks of reference are taken into account in each case. Articles are published in Spanish and Portuguese, with publications in English also accepted. All works must be original, not previously published or being considered for publication by other journals. The Revista declines any responsibility regarding possible conflicts deriving from the authorship of the works it publishes.. Each journal issue is published in printed form, with an electronic version being published two years after the paper publication. This journal uses external peer review. Presentation and characteristics of works Works shall be delivered in electronic format via e-mail for the attention of the Editor Arantza Pareja, to the following address: [email protected]. The text shall have a maximum length of 32 DIN-A4 pages (approx. 10,000-12,000 words), double-spaced, Times New Roman 12 pt font, including graphs, tables, maps, footnotes (in the same 10pt font and double-spaced), appendix(es) and bibliography (this should be single-spaced). Margins shall be 3 cm on each side, the text shall be justified and each page must be numbered on the top right-hand corner. All graphs, tables and maps shall be numbered and accompanied by a title and a reference to the source. All graphs, figures, maps and pictures are requested to be submitted in separate files and in black and white (jpg or pdf format, minimum resolution 300 pixels/inch). Notes should go at the foot of the page and consecutively numbered in Arabic numbers. In the first footnote (*) it can be stated that the work is related to a research project, is the result of a congress session or that it is an extended or translated version of another work, or other similar circumstances. In addition, in the case of a funded research project, the grants, subventions or financial support received should be mentioned. 1 The manuscript shall be presented with the first page as a cover sheet which should include: the title of the article, the first name and complete surnames (those with two surnames should include both) of each of the authors, place of work of each of the authors, name and e-mail address of the person responsible for the work for the purposes of correspondence, an abstract of the work (150 words maximum), and keywords (between 5 and 10). The title, abstract and keywords shall be in Spanish or Portuguese, French and English. The translation into the mentioned languages must be carried out by the authors. Bibliographic citations and references Bibliographic citations shall be made within the text. For example: ... (Pérez Moreda, 1980: 336346), and if the name of the cited author is already part of the text, this must be followed by the publication date and the pages inside brackets: ... Pérez Moreda (1980: 336-346). The bibliography used shall be included at the end of the manuscript in alphabetical order by author, according to the following models: LIVI-BACCI, M. Bibliographic reviews The Revista de Demografía Histórica publishes bibliographic reviews which result from collaborations requested by the Secretaría, or on the initiative of its associates or persons with an interest in the content of the Revista. Those who wish to send a bibliographic review shall contact the journal through the e-mail mentioned above. Each review should be preceded by a bibliographic description of the book or article reviewed. The text shall have the same style, font, size, margins, etc., and characteristics as the articles of the journal. The length of the reviews must be between 1,000 and 2,500 words. Publishing process The Editorial Board of the Revista will acknowledge receipt of the work to the author responsible for correspondence, and will subsequently advise details of the evaluation process, as well as the acceptance or refusal of the work with regard to its final publication.
