Ignacio Fernandez Romero is a principal associate in the Tax Department at Garrigues’ La Coruña office, where he has pursued
his professional career after a stint at Ernst & Young y Bufete Barrilero y Asociados.
He provides recurring advice on tax matters to companies in myriad industries (such as textile, concession companies,
telecommunications, banking, food sector, media, healthcare, etc.) that fall within his geographical area.
Given his experience, he advises all kinds of companies and individuals in Galicia in complex tax proceedings with the various tax
agencies (national, regional and local), as well as in issues that require specialized knowledge in the areas of transfer pricing (TP)
and international taxation.
He specializes in tax law, mainly in direct taxation and transfer pricing, and is a member of Garrigues’ Transfer Pricing and
International Taxation working group. He is in charge of both specialties at the La Coruña office.
Ignacio actively participates in seminars and conferences on Spanish tax legislation, in particular regarding international taxation
and transfer pricing in various forums (La Coruña Economists Association, Escuela Caixanova, Afundación, Universidad de A
Coruña, Ferrol Chamber of Commerce, La Coruña Chamber of Commerce, IEFF, etc.). He is a member of the La Coruña Bar
Association.
