Carlos García Barcala is the partner in charge of Labor Law Department for Garrigues in Asturias, Castilla y León and Galicia,
Firm in which he has developed his career after working in Arthur Andersen . He specializes in labor law, and has extensive
experience in relation to labor litigation, restructuring of workforces, mass layoffs, (reductions in force (ERE), processes of
modification of working conditions, etc...) and collective bargaining.
He is Professor of the Master degree in legal practice of the University of Oviedo and member of the bar association of Oviedo.
Also, part of the mediators corps of the non judicial dispute-settlement service of Asturias Servicio Asturiano de Solución
Extrajudicial de Conflictos (SASEC)-, on the proposal of the Asturian Federation of Employers -Federación Asturiana de
Empresarios (FADE).
The partner of Garrigues is a regular speaker at numerous conferences, courses and seminars concerning labor and employment
