XV Reunión Argentina de Sedimentología –Santa Rosa, La Pampa – Septiembre de 2016 Primera Circular ____________________________________________ Instituciones organizadoras ____________________________________________ Invitación La XV Reunión Argentina de Sedimentología – RAS – se realizará en Septiembre de 2016 en Santa Rosa, capital de la provincia de La Pampa, Argentina. La ciudad; moderna, apacible y estratégicamente ubicada en el centro del país, será sede del evento por primera vez. Desde su origen en 1986, la RAS ha permitido la difusión de las investigaciones de los sedimentólogos argentinos (y del mundo) en un clima de camaradería y cordialidad, potenciando el intercambio de ideas y opiniones. XV Reunión Argentina de Sedimentología –Santa Rosa, La Pampa – Septiembre de 2016 Además, se han desarrollado actividades como cursos, talleres, conferencias, sesiones especiales, mesas redondas y salidas de campo que, en su conjunto, fortalecieron el desarrollo de temáticas varias e incorporaron otras nuevas. Por ello, invitamos a participar de la próxima XV RAS a toda la comunidad sedimentológica argentina y extranjera, así como a los investigadores de disciplinas asociadas, la cual tendrá una impronta característica y permitirá mantener esta sana costumbre. Serán objetivos de la XV RAS: ‐ Promover la difusión de conocimientos en investigación básica y aplicada, vinculados al estudio de sedimentos, rocas sedimentarias y ambientes depositacionales. ‐ Propiciar la realización de sesiones especiales focalizadas en la región pampeana. ‐ Brindar cursos y conferencias sobre temáticas específicas que no fueran abordadas en reuniones previas. ‐ Fomentar la participación de la mayor cantidad de integrantes de la comunidad sedimentológica argentina e internacional. ‐ Generar un espacio de discusión e intercambio de conocimientos, y fortalecer los lazos entre los miembros de la comunidad sedimentológica. ____________________________________________ Comisión organizadora Presidente: Dr. Aldo Martín Umazano (INCITAP – UNLPam) Vicepresidente: Dra. This modern and peaceful city, which is strategically located in the central region of the country, will host the event for the first time. Since 1986, the RAS has allowed the diffusion of the Argentinean and international sedimentology research with a spirit of friendship and cordiality, promoting XV Argentinean Meeting of Sedimentology –Santa Rosa, La Pampa – September 2016 the exchange of ideas and opinions. Moreover, several activities have been developed including courses, workshops, conferences, special sessions, roundtables and field trips, all of them strengthened several different topics and encouraged the discussion of new ones. Thus, both Argentinean and international sedimentological communities, as well as researches of related disciplines, are invited to participate of the next RAS, which will keep the stamp of the event. Goals of the XV RAS shall be: ‐ Promote the dissemination of knowledge in basic and applied research linked to the study of sediments, sedimentary rocks and depositional environments. ‐ Promote the realization of special sessions focused in the pampeana region. ‐ Offer specific courses and conferences on issues not addressed in the previous meetings. ‐ Encourage the participation of the major amount of constituents of the sedimentological community. ‐ Generate a space for discussion and exchange of ideas, and strengthen the loops between members of the sedimentological community. ____________________________________________ Organizing committee President: Dr. Aldo Martín Umazano (INCITAP – UNLPam) Vice‐president: Dra. Pyroclastic deposits and processes in Triassic silicic volcanites of the Lihué Calel National Park (E.J. Llambías & H. Tickyj; 1 day).
